1. Data Controller

The personal data you provide through this website is controlled by Pleja Games / The King's Bargain.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary for each feature:

We do not collect: passwords, payment information, precise location, or any sensitive personal data under KVKK Article 6 / GDPR Article 9.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

• Alpha Waitlist — your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) / KVKK Art. 5(1)). You give consent by checking the consent checkbox and submitting the form.
• Feedback & Bug Reports — legitimate interest in improving the game (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) / KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). Data submitted voluntarily and used solely for development.
• Voting UUID — stored locally in your browser; never transmitted to our servers with any personally identifying information.

4. How We Use Your Data

• Send alpha/beta test invitations to waitlist members
• Analyse community feedback to prioritise game features
• Investigate and fix reported bugs
• Prevent duplicate or abusive submissions

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Processors

Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL cloud database). Supabase acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Data may be stored in EU-region servers. See Supabase Privacy Policy.

No other third-party processors receive your personal data.

6. Retention Period

• Waitlist data — retained until the alpha/beta phase ends (estimated 12 months), or until you request deletion.
• Feedback & Bug Reports— retained for the duration of active game development, as they form the project's issue history.
• Voting UUID— stored only in your browser's localStorage; cleared when you clear your browser data.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / KVKK)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Withdraw consent at any time (waitlist only)
• Object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable format

KVKK applicants may also file a complaint with the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (KVK Kurumu) at kvkk.gov.tr.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use browser localStorage only for:

• A random anonymous vote ID (prevents duplicate votes — not linked to your identity)
• A flag indicating you have already joined the waitlist (prevents duplicate submissions)

These are strictly necessary for site functionality and do not require cookie consent under GDPR Recital 47 / ePrivacy Directive.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game and community hub evolve. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the site after such changes constitutes acceptance.
